Barry Ribbeck at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston developed a system for providing secure communication over the public network. The paper he wrote, "A Scalable Method for Providing Secure Communication over Public Networks with Strong Authentication", describes the system used to validate and test secure communications with strong authentication over public networks developed as part of the EduPop project.

Participants in the EduPop demonstration projects, please take the Before_High_Speed and After_High_Speed assessment surveys for the EduPop project.

The Heavy EduPop ISP Peering Agreement (MS Word format) This agreement is the "heavy version" because it includes obligations by each party to maintain and restore service in an expedited maner. Mutual monitoring and notification is required of each party. This type of agreement is often desired by large ISPs who want "everything" laid out in detail.

The Light EduPop ISP Peering Agreement (MS Word format) This version is still in legaliese, but the terms are much more relaxed. The terms recognize the nature of the EduPop as a "prefered alternate path" and not the primary Internet connection of the affiliated parties.
